Get quickly your basic shaped assets in Blade using Google SketchUp!


We will use a very cool and simple (yet complex) app and a bit unusual for games but used, none the less, more and more. And that is SketchUp!.

Here's a litlle house I made for this example and you will see it in Blade in no time.

Now, all I have to do is export it as OBJ file format.

But hold on, it's blue and no textures!

No problem. Just go to Texture Container and import (plain) texture(s). Set whatever material type you want on the model and voila:
