Blade3D provides a high performance object model that is used to maintain the state of the system. Every item that you will work with in Blade3D is represented by an object in the object model. To effectively use the system you will need to be able to quickly move between the various objects that make up your project. The Object Browser gives you a visual representation of all the objects in your module.

Object Browser - Blade3DThe Object Browser Panel

By default, the Object Browser shows you a tree showing all the objects in the module, you can expand the various containers to see the contents. In a large scene there may be hundreds of objects in the module and finding a subset of the entire set becomes important. Blade3D provides a way to filter the objects displayed in the Object Browser by type. To do this use the filter dropdown at the top of the Object Browser.

The Object Browser also remembers which objects you use most and displays them in the "Recently Used Object" panel. The brightness of the text gives an indication of how often you have used the object. You can click on any of the objects displayed in the panel to quickly jump to the object. When you select an item in the Object Browser you will notice that the name of the currently selected object is displayed in the status bar as well.
